D K Shields is an award-winning independent graphic design studio that focuses on nonprofit, arts & education, and direct marketing sectors of graphic communications. Founded in early 2010, by art director Damon Shields, after years of experience designing for brand and advertising agencies in and around Philadelphia. In 2011, the studio was joined by his wife Brandi. From there, the two made the courageous leap into the unknown and never looked back. Today D K Shields studio continues to be a vehicle of expression, solution seeking, re-imagining, and celebrating the power of an idea.
Damon Shields
Art Director
Curiosity and creativity have led Damon through years of experience in graphic design, branding, and strategic messaging. Recognition for his work includes multiple AIGA Philadelphia Design Awards and 41 Philadelphia ADDY Awards. Damon has also been awarded for his excellence in design by having work inducted into the permanent AIGA Design Archives, and featured in 365: AIGA Annual Design Competition. His work has been featured in publications such as Print and HOW Magazine, as well as a merit award in the HOW International Design Awards, in which his work was featured as one of only 300 selected designs worldwide.
Brandi Shields
Studio Manager / Designer
Natural talent, un-ending desire for problem-solving and a passion for all things design, Brandi's free-spirited approach to creative makes her the perfect partner of the studio. Her experience, acute sense of color, and constant strive of balance make her work exceptionally impactful and polished.
Whether it's her expertise in direct mailings, or non-profit projects with time sensitive schedules, she manages the workflow and all creative project timelines. Simply put... The queen of many crowns is the go-to-madam of this studio.
